Music Contest Finals
On 4th July, the Music Contest Finals was held at the School Hall. In view of the pandemic situation, the event was staged with a limited audience. Despite that, the atmosphere was electric when the audience cheered for the contestants. It was also the first time to have the event live on Facebook, attracting 2.3k views up to today.
There were solo, instrumental and band categories, with the best contestants after elimination from the Preliminary and Semi-finals. The two MCs from Form 4, Aviyah Harrison Abou Hatsira and Vivianee Angeline Alabata, did a marvelous job to host the event. They smoothly linked the performances and provided lighthearted commentary with humour. The adjudicators, Ms Lorraine Chow and Mr Kingston Lo, a composer and jazz pianist, were impressed by all the talented contestants with their high performances. YKHCC students also voted online for the Audience Choice Award.
Congratulations to all the winners and we would like to express our gratitude to all the the support staff, student helpers, stage crew and family and friends in making the event a great success.
